You get honesty, curiosity, laughter, and conversations that stay with you long after the coffee cups are empty.
At GBS Huddle #3, hosted at Illy Café, Nu Sentral, a group of passionate GBS professionals came together not just to network, but to connect, to share experiences, and to support one another in navigating the real challenges and opportunities in our world of GBS.
We talked about things that matter but often go unsaid:
💬 Making the business case for engaging BPOs and what true partnership looks like.
💬 Managing redundancies and the uncertainty that comes with change.
💬 How younger millennial leaders can influence, inspire, and earn trust from more experienced colleagues.
💬 Keeping a continuous improvement mindset alive in teams through small, daily progress.
💬 The evolving world of flex work practices and what’s actually helping retention and engagement.
What stood out most wasn’t the topics, but the openness.
People shared personal stories, offered perspectives without judgment, and genuinely listened. There was a real sense of connection and mutual support, reminding us that growth in GBS is not just about better processes, but about stronger people.
Grateful to everyone who joined, especially those who travelled from Penang to be part of the conversation. Every huddle reinforces that GBS is not only about operational excellence, but also about community, empathy, and shared growth.
Excited for GBS Huddle #4 at Rich Kopitiam, 1Utama on November 20. New faces, new stories, same spirit of connection and learning.
Because when we talk, we learn. When we connect, we grow. And when we grow together, we strengthen the entire GBS community.
