โจ GBS Huddle: Real Conversations in ‘Real Rooms’ โจ
An energizing GBS Huddle @ PJ33 wrapped up last evening; filled with honest reflections, strategic insights, and a whole lot of peer encouragement.
๐น We had dived into the relative strengths of different GBS locations โ from talent pools to cost advantages and niche expertise.
๐น Explored how GBS teams are managing value creation in times where value is demanded, but resources are squeezed.
๐น Dove into the pros and cons of a matrixed GPO / Site Leader model
๐น Swapped notes on industry shifts โ with new sectors tapping into the GBS model in Malaysia and traditional players doubling down
๐น And yes, the ever-relevant sourcing and retaining of talent sparked passionate discussions, especially with evolving workforce expectations.
But beyond the content, what made this Huddle special was the camaraderie in the ‘room’.
๐ Encouragement flowed freely.
๐ฌ Candid stories were shared.
๐ก And a collective reminder echoed: Keep doing the right things, even when the going gets tough.
Thank you to all who joined, contributed, and made the space safe, warm, and insightful. The conversation was non-stop for 2-hours and we did not even realize we’ve gone ‘overtime’! Until the next GBS Huddle โ where we keep it real, relevant, and human.
GBS tribe – if you would like to suggest the next location, you know what to do!
